About User Permissions
How to configure users permissions fo Page Ed.
Do we set globals in the core permissions module and then modify them in page ed control panel?
Yes, this is true. In theory, the only permission you need to set in PN is
Usergroup - PagEd:: - :: - Edit
PagEd then takes care of the rest, depending on how you set permissions up in Permissions Manager.
I have to add though that due to the high number of different ways permissions can be configured, testing is very demanding and there may still be holes.
All PagEd blocks should now support the Postnuke/eNvolution/MD-Pro permissions system for user-dependant display. To configure permissions for a block, the correct syntax in permissions is
User group PagEd:: Block title:: Access level
The block title to enter is the one you give the block when creating it.
