This manual is in it`s early beginning and many pages do not have content yet.
If you would like to participate in editing the manual, register or login at Canvas and follow the "PagEd Wiki Project" link. You will then see an "Edit" link on every page.
As of PagEd 0.90, you can place a created article in a block. This is done from the drop-down selector "Content block page" in Module Settings. To see the block, you must enable it in Postnuke admin/Blocks/New Block/PagEd Content Block.
A small PagEd control panel block can be created in site admin/blocks/new block. This will give you quick-links to the main editor panels wherever you like on your front page.
With EZCMS you had to "Set module as frontpage" to be able to show content on your site index.php page. Not so with PagEd. Let "Frontpage module" in Postnuke settings remain News.
To display PagEd article briefs as news, chose "New block" in Postnuke admin/blocks and select PagEd news block. This block you can place where you want, either as a main central block, or to the left or right, as a "mini news" block showing only headlines (as links to pages).
The reason for not setting this module as the front page module is that some users might want to display BOTH ordinary Postnuke news AND PagEd news briefs. This can easily be done now.
In order to make the PagEd topics feature more useful, you can now create a topic menu block. In Site admin/Blocks/New block, select PagEd topics block and place where you like (left, center or right). This block is not yet configurable, but will display as an alphabetical listing of all topics viewable, depending on the user`s language. A user browsing in English will see all topics connected to "all" languages and "eng" languages, etc. IMPORTANT: You do not have to select a specific language for the block, as the block will only display links according to the user language. Of course, if only users with a certain language are to see the block at all, users with other languages will se an empty block with block title if you select "all" in eNvolution block creation.
The topic menu block lists topic titles. These are links and will take you to a main page for the selected topic, where all pages under the topic are displayed. This page uses the News layout template and looks very similar, with top links, 1 section/item, "Read more"-links etc. In a later PagEd release, the layout and details displayed on main topic pages will be configurable.
You can also place a single topic overview in a block. The block is created for you if you check the "Create Block" box in Edit Topic. Then you must enable your new block in Postnuke admin/Blocks/New Block, where your new block will be selectable.
