Installation: New install

Unzip and upload folder modules/PagEd into Yoursite/modules folder. Upload file includes/search/pagedsearch.php into Yoursite/includes/search folder.

IMPORTANT: If you plan on using NetPBM for image resizing, download the correct netpbm library pack for your server OS: Either Unix/Linux, Windows, MacOSX, Solaris or FreeBSD. Unzip and upload into PagEd folder as folder "netpbm". If you already have netpbm installed (ex. from another module) you can specify the path in the PagEd administration.

NOTE TO ENVOLUTION/MD-PRO USERS: After initializing/activating PagEd, you must add the module to an admin group before the admin icon is visible. Turn to eNvolution/MD-Pro admin, scroll to Edit Admin and press this. In the next panel, scroll to where it says "PagEd v.0.91b" and select a group to place PagEd under (for instance Content), and submit your selection. The PagEd icon should now be visible under eNvolution/MD-Pro admin/the group you selected.

File and folder permissions:
CHMOD browsepics (new!), dummypics, editorpics, medipics, pictures and thumbnails folders to 777
CHMOD backups folder to 777.
If present, CHMOD netpbm folder to 755
If present, CHMOD netpbm files in netpbm folder to 755.
All this will be checked during the install process!

If your tables for some reason are not created, you can create them manually by importing the sql-dump Paged091b.sql in this docs folder. Before doing this, replace the "nuke_" prefix with your own database prefix, if you have a different one.

Installation: Upgrade

IMPORTANT I: The file PagEd/pnadmin.php is deprecated and MUST be deleted from your existing PagEd folder (if you are upgrading). If this is not done, the eNvolution/MD-Pro admin panel link to PagEd may not work.

Upgrade process: Unzip and upload module files into existing PagEd folder. Image folders and netpbm folder need not be replaced. Then, go to your Postnuke/eNvolution/MD-Pro admin panel/modules, regenerate. The PagEd entry will say "New version installed". Press "upgrade" and then "activate". This does NOT trigger database upgrade changes.

You must now turn to Postnuke/eNvolution/MD-Pro admin panel and press the PagEd button, which will start the remaining upgrade process and make the necessary database changes.
