pnTresMailer is an advanced Newsletter module for use with the PostNuke CMS.
History
It was developed by Foyleman at www.modsonline.com for his clientele, but quickly became a preferred option for many PostNuke users.
ModsOnLine no longer runs under PostNuke, and Foyleman has ceased development as of version 6.01
PnTresMailer has therefore been "adopted" by canvas.anubix.net, which hosts the popular PagEd module, and will be developed there.
Features- a growing collection of Plugin Modules allow the collection of data from many sources.
- the Newsletter is multi-part mime which allows both HTML and text-only postings.
- previewing generated Mailers allows checking for problems, and hand customisation.
Requests- everyone wants multiple Newsletters, and this must happen sometime soon.
- full automation is needed and the basics of a "Cron" job to do this is almost ready.
- a more sophisticated permissions system is needed, for flexibility with safety.
- a basic "auto-plugin" system that tries to add in new modules is worth thinking about.
- a better User interface will happen, sometime.
- a headlines-only/full-article switch for each plugin type would be good.
